Columbus Wants One Too.

About 25 members of the Ohio State Association of Assistant Postmasters in convention by resolutions thanked Postmaster General Hitchcock and President Taft for giving them civil service jobs by placing them on the classified list, discussed Sunday closing of offices, elected officers and listened to an explanation of the workings of the new postal savings system.

Newly-elected officers are: W. H. Hosket, Dayton, president; E. C. Browne, New Philadelphia, secretary; and S. E. Siegfried, of Newark, treasurer.

Assistant Postmaster Edward E. Lange, of Ashtabula, the only city in Ohio having the new postal savings system in operation, in an address of explanation, told of the wonders and intricacies of the new system. He expressed approval of it and pointed with pride to the fact that Ashtabula promises to lead the list of postal savings offices in point of deposits. Columbus has asked for a postal bank.
