Political Poles a Nuisance.

National Associated Press to the Star.

PITTSBURG, Dec. 4.-An interesting case was concluded to-day in the Common Pleas Court, involving the right of the City to permit political poles to stand in the street. A pole in Allegheny City fell in the fall of 1876, breaking an arm of George Zimmerman, a boy ten years old, who was standing on the street. The city was sued for damages. The judge instructed the jury that the pole was a nuisance, and a verdict was returned to-day for $2,120 damages.
