LATER FROM TOBASCO

We learn from Captain Mann, of the brig Antares, who arrived last evening from Tobasco, that Gen. Empolio had arrived on the 4th September, in the man-of-war brig Santa Anna, from Vera Cruz. He is to take command of the forces in the vicinity of Tabasco.

It was reported that Gen. E. had orders to liberate the crew of the schooner which took Sementat and his followers from New Orleans to Tobasco, also a passenger, a citizen of Boston, who was on board at the time. They were raising recruits for the army destined to attack Texas.
