Full Text

Again.—That bloody shirt is preparing for another shake. It now leaks out that Grant, in his forthcoming Message, will make another effort to alarm the country again about Louisiana, and that the key-note is to be struck to the same old tune of "more serious trouble is anticipated next January than any which has yet occurred to mar the peace of the State." Surely the procrastination of the Counting Board is by orders from Washington, and we may at any moment expect to hear of some new devised rascality never dreamed of before in rogue's vocabulary. Keep your eye on that partner till the last shuffle of the dance is over, and then watch what door he walks out at.
