Weather Delays Young Aviator

COLTON, Calif., May 3. (U.P.)- Forced by bad weather to return to the airport here after taking off for Los Angeles at 9:15 a. m. today, Frank Goldsborough, 19 year old aviator, said he would try again this afternoon to make the last leg of his transcontinental junior record flight.

Rain, low clouds, and fog, extending from the sea to the mountains, made flight hazardous and forced Goldsborough to abandon the attempt after circling the city.

Goldsborough is seeking to break the junior record of 48 hours for the transcontinental flight. His time now is approximately 31 hours.
