RIDING HELEN TAFT'S HORSE, BADLY INJURED

WASHINGTON, Jan. 29.-Miss Martha Bowers, injured when her horse was killed by a street car, last night, while she was riding with Miss Helen Taft, daughter of the president, is resting easily today at Garfield hospital, and is believed out of danger. Miss Bowers' right arm is doubly fractured and her scalp was lacerated. The horse, which bolted and crashed into the street car, was instantly killed. It was a favorite mount of Miss Taft's. The president's daughter today spent several hours at the hospital with her friend, and sent her an enormous bouquet of flowers.
