Full Text

By an officer of the U. S. schr. Marion, we learn that the notice published a few days since, of the Light Vessel at the Dry Tortugas, is incorrect. There is a Light House there; but it has not yet been lighted, as the keeper had not arrived out. The Light Vessel in question, is anchored inside the Elbow of Carysford Reef. and is of great use to navigators We also understand. that the Marion did not capture the Colombian brig Eagle-she (the Marion,) only took possession of a prize schooner, and towed her into Key West, and ordered a prize brig also to proceed to Key West. They were both subsequently released.
