The Queen of England.—In the midst of the confusion of formidable news bursting from all sides, is it not amusing to read under the head of Great Britain—

"Her Majesty, the Queen, is happily delivered of a daughter."

It forms a strange contrast with all these bewildering reports. Nothing is changed in England. There is only one Princess more. The traditions of the Crown continue with admirable regularity. Not the least trouble in the constitutions of the English royalties. The Queen does not reform a single article of her conjugal programme. The general conflagration, the universal wreck, do not work the slightest variation in the regular course of this periodic production. Across the revolutionary bulletins, which start from all corners of the political horizon, one will always see, at a fixed date, and in rigorous terms, the announcement: "The Queen is happily delivered." etc.
