FORMER GOVERNOR
HERE AFTER BEING
GONE FOR 21 YEARS

Capt. McCormack, formerly secretary of state and territorial governor North Dakota, arrived in Bismarck yesterday for the celebration of the state's twenty-fifth birthday, which will be held today. Capt. McCormack now lives in St. Paul, and has been away from Bismarck 21 years. He was prominent in all state affairs while in North Dakota, and is remembered well by all of the older citizens. He helped to lay out the city of Grand Forks.

When he arrived yesterday, Capt. McCormack was naturally surprised at the many changes he saw on every hand. The Bismarck of today and the Bismarck that Capt. McCormack knew are two totally different places but the former governor said the city was one of the most progressive looking municipalities he had seen for a very long time.
