DIDN'T HAVE A LICENSE
Special to THE EVENING JOURNAL
GEORGETOWN, Del., July 21—That the law regarding taking out of eating-house licenses whenever a person wishes to conduct an establishment will be enforced is shown by the fact that on Saturday, Mary J. Heavelow of near Lewes, who is conducting an eating-house at a colored camp now in progress near that town, was arrested and brought here before Justice of the Peace Warrington because she failed to secure a license.
Through her attorney, Daniel J. Layton, Jr., the hearing was waived and bond given for the October term of court.
There are several cases to be tried at the next term of court for running restaurants without licenses and from present indications all held for this offense are preparing to put up a stiff fight.
