Full Text

PROVIDENCE, April 26.

A Gentleman from Nantucket informs, that six Vessels are just arrived there from England, some of them in short Passages.

It must reflect Honour on the Merchants and Traders of Nantucket, when 'tis known, that altho' Remittances are much easier made from thence than from many of the Colonies, and though they are not bound by any Engagements with respect to Non-Importation, yet such is their public Spirit, and Regard to the true Interests of America, that all the Goods imported in the above six Vessels, exclusive of a small Quantity of Hemp for their Fishery, would not load a Cartoe.
