BONUS BONDS GO TO BANKS

Federal Reserve Units Sent Papers.

WASHINGTON, Mar. 28-(AP) —The first shipments of bonus "baby" bonds moved out to federal reserve banks today, but treasury officials asserted no bonds would be mailed to veterans themselves before June 15.

Shipment of the $50 bonds to federal reserve banks started with the receipt at the treasury of the first vouchers listing veterans' and amounts due them as compiled by the veterans administration.

Forwarding of the bonds to the reserve banks is only one step in the extended process of distributing the 37,000,000 bonds and 3,000,000 checks due veterans under the bonus law. treasury officials explained.
