Full Text

The Fourth.
Say, what is the matter with our young people? We hear very little being said of how we shall celebrate the Fourth. Since the Fourth comes on Sunday, our christian people are prevented from indulging in such sports as fishing and hunting. Nevertheless we should feel glad that we may do honor to the memory of our forefathers and the founders of our republic without going back and coming through the Revolutionary struggle with all its fire and thunder, trying to embellish their unembellishable glory but in a more reverential way, let us for once, allow our forefathers to rest in peace on the national anniversary.
