All the 3 deckers in the British Navy are to go into ordinary immediately after the grand review, as a first step towards a Peace Establishment. The number of vessels in commission the first June was 507, of which 88 were of the line, 133 frigates. On the 4th June, the Anniversary of the King's birth day, all the Admirals, &c. were promoted a grade—32 Captains were made Admirals, and 55 commanders made Post-Captains. Capt. Milne of the Bulwark is one of the new made Admirals. On the same day a great number of Generals, Colonels. &c. were also promoted. Colonel Baynes Adj. General in Canada, has a Maj. General's commission.—There are no regular Brigadier Generals in the British service.
