Colored National Convention.

PITTSBURG, Pa., March 4.—Rev. C. S. Smith, of Bloomington, Ill., chairman of the colored state central committee in that state, has arrived here to complete arrangements for the national colored convention, to be held here in April. Rev. Mr. Smith says the convention will be in session several days, and at a secret session will adopt an address demanding recognition from the people and better protection of the colored race south. The address will be issued purposely before the national conventions, and the colored people will wait to see what is done. About 250 delegates will be present.
