What is this article about?

Full Text

"WRONG END UP.—A Liberty party paper, out west having nominated "John P. Hale, of New Hampshire for President, and Thomas Corwin, of Ohio, for Vice President," the Manchester American copies the ticket and says "we would just suggest to the Liberty party out West, that in their hurry to present their ticket, they have placed it wrong end up." We predict that the Manchester American will be found supporting either Henry Clay or Gen. Taylor in less than a twelve-month. Like the other federal prints in New Hampshire, its present talk about Corwin, and "renewal of fealty" to the abolitionists, is all put forth in order to keep the allies together until after the next March election. Then, the cry will be "anybody is preferable to a loco-foco; we go for Clay (or Taylor) therefore, without a why or wherefore!"
