Bethel A.M.E. Church

Sunday School began at the usual hour with the superintendent, Mr. Adkins, presiding. The review was done by Mr. Hutchins. The attendance banner was won by the Intermediate Department and the financial banner was won by the Y. P. D.

In the morning service Rev. Jaudon used for his subject "I Saw the Lord." Isaiah 6:1. and in the evening he used "Father Abraham, Have Mercy On Me," St. Luke 16:24. At the close of the morning message two children joined the church.

In the afternoon. Rev. Jaudon and the Gospel Chorus with many officers and members of Bethel. worshipped at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. in their 64th Anniversary of the church and the 1st Anniversary of their pastor. After this service many of the members attended the program sponsored by the Auxiliary Board at the home of Mrs. Edith Mitchell.

The program for Men's Day, October 27, is progressing along and everyone is looking forward to this day. The support of every member of the church is expected to make this effort a great success. Who will be Mr. Bethel? The title is now being held by Mr. Edward Vaughns.

A meeting of the Lay Organization of the West Savannah District is being planned for next Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at Bethel. A large crowd is expected and a fine program is being arranged. Andrew Thomas is the president.

Let's remember our sick and shut-in members, Mrs. Georgia Williams, Mrs. Hattie Roberts, Mrs. M. L. Hobbs, Bailey James and Mrs. Bryan. Let's contact them during the week.
