NEW YORK (Global) -- Charlie Fuqua and his Inkspots are booked solid for one year. Dates include some Hawaiian and Japanese stands.

James Moody and his ork at Broadway's Birdland . . . Dinah Washington at Downtown Cafe Society.

Bandleader Lucky Millinder and his ork back at Harlem's Apollo Theatre.

The Griffin Brothers ork will play one-nighters through West Virginia starting last of November . . .

Cozy Cole is putting together a new jazz combo called the All Stars. Group will consist of Jonah Jones on trumpet; Arvell Shaw on bass; and Big Nick on tenor. The pianist is not yet signed. Group will play location dates throughout the East.

Ruth Brown plays a week at Gleason's in Cleveland beginning December 14.

The Clovers take a two week vacation in December and then start a Texas trek with Fats Domino starting December 21 . . .

Lynn Hope and his ork, and Little Nat are not at Gleason's in Cleveland.

Two major spots in Philadelphia this week become the originating points for disk jockey shows. With the opening of Tab Smith and the Dorothy Ashby Swing Trio, Pep's Musical Bar will also originate the nightly record sessions of Jocko (Henderson) and his "Swing Train" via WDAS.

And, with the return of Joe Loco to the Blue Note, Tommy Roberts initiates a nightly spinning session of modern jazz platters via WCAM, Camden, N.J.

Snub Mosley is back in Philly after an absence of several years. He's at the Chateau Club . . .

Fats Domino is next in at the Show Boat in Philly . . .

Jackie Davis and his organ trio take over at Philly's Club Billand Lou.
