Children's Dog Races Slated For Race Day

Children's one-dog sled races have been announced by the Arctic Club for Easter Sunday while the Nome-Hastings race is in progress.

There will be races for girls and boys up to 12 years of age which will start immediately after the last team has left the starting line in the derby.

First, second and third cash prizes will be given for the race.

Many children have already started training their pets and information as to course and length of race are available from Bill Ullrich, who is in charge of the contest.

Children who have no dog but are interested in racing are asked to see local business men or the Chamber of Commerce, stated Bob Scott of the Race committee and arrange for a sponsor.
