Legislative inquiries seem to be the order of the day in the United States. The Legislature of Pennsylvania have appointed a Committee to inquire into the official conduct of John Bollander, Esquire, an associate Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, in Union County. The charge against the Judge, as stated in a letter to the Editor of the Franklin Gazette, is, "that pending the trial of the suit of the heirs of John Snyder, against the late Governor Snyder, for the Isle of Q. the Judge tampered or improperly interfered with one of the Jurymen, in order to induce him to bring in a verdict favourable to the late Governor."
