MICHIGAN. - Extract of a letter, dated, Detroit, Oct. 1, 1836, to the Editor of the New York Courier.

We are gratified to inform you that the Convention at Ann Arbor, after having rejected the proposition of Congress, for admission, appointed three Delegates to repair to Washington during the session of Congress, for the purpose of sustaining and guarding the rights of Michigan, which one of our Senators and the Representative are so anxious to sell to Ohio. A regular and complete organization of a State Right party has been formed in every county in the State, and corresponding committees and committees of vigilance appointed. The individual who brought this intelligence informs us that the result of the deliberations of the Convention, was hailed at Ann Arbor with every demonstration of joy. A national salute was fired and beacon lights kindled to carry the pleasing intelligence far and wide, that Michigan was true to herself, that the triumph of consistency and honesty was complete. Yours, etc.
