At the annual meeting of the Bridgeport Savings Bank held this morning, the board of trustees was increased from 13 to 16 members. The new trustees elected this morning were Nathaniel W. Bishop, Walter B. Lashar, and Horace W. Smith. The following are the officers and trustees elected this morning:
President, A. W. Burritt; first vice president, E. W. Bassick; second vice president, J. S. Pullman; secretary and treasurer, S. M. Hawley.
Trustees: I. W. Birdseye, N. W. Bishop, G. C. Edwards, S. E. Goodsel, C. W. Hawley, R. S. Hincks, W. F. Hobbs, W. B. Lashar, H. S. Shelton, H. W. Smith, L. T. Warner, W. R. Webster.
The board of trustees, at its meeting last week, declared the 151st consecutive dividend to the depositors of the bank at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.
Since opening its new building on April 1, the business of the bank has shown a substantial increase, both in the number of the new depositors and the amount deposited.
