Begin Rehearsals Of "Kind Lady"
The cast for the next Key West Players production, "Kind Lady," has been selected, all except for one role, that of Lucy, a friend of the main character. Rehearsals at the Woman's Club continue this week on Friday night.
President of the club and director of the forthcoming drama, Emily Goddard, announced today that the first two acts have been blocked for action.
The nearly completed cast is as follows:
Mr. Foster—Jonathan Jackson.
Mary Herries—Ann Carleton
Phyllis Glenning Eleanor Rothwell,
Peter Santard—Jack Worthington.
Henry Abbot—Josef Hurka.
Ada—Peg DuBree
Doctor—Jack Clarke.
Mr. Edwards—Edmund Giesbert
Mrs. Edwards Gertrude Splaine,
Gustave Rosenberg—Pierre A. Adams.
Edward Chodorov adapted the play from a story by Hugh Walpole. It centers about a kind and charitable lady who befriends a social leech. There is a great deal of suspense in the story as the plot unfolds.
Each actor has been asked to write out an impression of his particular role. Joe Hurka's interpretation will appear tomorrow.
