Frank C. W. Pooler, assistant district forester, has become acting district forester at the headquarters of the forest service in Albuquerque and will remain in charge until the selection of a successor to Paul G. Redington, who severed his connection with the service to become city manager of Albuquerque.
Mr. Pooler has been in charge of the local office of lands for eight years. Previous to his coming here, he had five years' experience as a forest supervisor in Arizona. He is also experienced in range work.
No permanent successor to Mr. Redington will be appointed, it has been announced, until the return of Chief Forester, Henry S. Graves, who is now a lieutenant colonel serving on General Pershing's staff in France.
