Full Text

A late London paper has the following paragraph: "There is such a general advance on all sorts of goods, that it is thought the less of them is sent to America, the less blame will the merchants and factors experience; and if the Americans were to suspend their commissions for one season by unanimous consent, it would be the means of bringing our workmen into their proper stations; at present they are without control, every factor daily attending the manufactures, and ready to snatch the work whether finished or not."
