Recording Clerk of the House.

Miss Alice Boardman, daughter of Mr. J. L. Boardman, late editor of this paper, is a candidate for Recording Clerk of the lower House of the next Legislature. Miss Alice is well qualified for the position, and her father's misfortune of blindness and his long and faithful service to the Republican party, give her strong and additional claims, especially as she desires the office in order to contribute to his support. We hope she may be successful and that our brethren of the press will aid her in her laudable effort.
