Ric Roberts, SNS and World Sports Editor, who had the distinction of seeing and officiating in games involving three of the four major football champions of the country in 1936, viz: Virginia State, Langston, and Tuskegee, will select an All-American team for the Scotts Newspaper Syndicate for publication Sunday, December 27.
The Sports Editor of the Syndicate embracing 28 newspapers in the nation from as far north as Hartford, Conn. and as far south as Miami, Fla; as far west as Fort Worth, Texas, and as far east as Atlantic City, N. J., has travelled thousands of miles looking at the best teams of the country.
He will be aided in the selection by Coach Jefferson of Virginia State; Ches Washington of the Pittsburgh Courier; Bill Cor ruthers of Wilberforce; Sam Taylor of Prairie View and Cleve Abbott of Tuskegee.
His last trip of a season that has carried him to Arkansas, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida will end on New Year's Day when he will serve as official in the Prairie View-Tuskegee annual at Houston. This trip will culminate a season's total of 9,876 miles that the SNS representative has covered.
