West Jeff Cafe Robbed Saturday

The Madison County Sheriff's Department reported Monday that Watson's Cafe, on the Main Street in West Jefferson, was the scene of a breaking and entering offense sometime on Saturday night.

The Sheriff said that thieves gained entry by raising a rear window in the establishment which was left unlocked. The loot was estimated by the owners at about $100. The report stated that the money was taken from a pinball machine and some change on the bar.

The loss was discovered on Sunday when the owner went in to clean up the premises.
