Cinematic proof to the contrary, cave man love tactics are not always effective when everything else has failed.
This Carl Hohmann, 30 years old, 946 Thirty-seventh st., learned to his sorrow late yesterday when he attempted to convince his light o' love that she loved him despite her frequent denials.
Like a swashbuckling hero of the films, Hohmann went to the home of Olive Claussen, 21 years old, 633 Thirty-first st., determined to make her see things his way.
Though denied entrance to her home on a peace bond, Hohmann entered by prying open a rear screen door.
He saw the object of his love washing walls, but undaunted, proceeded to make love to her then and there.
Progress was slow, so he grasped her by the throat and tossed her to the floor, according to Miss Claussen's report to the police.
Patrolman Harold Stroud, who lives in the neighborhood, walked past the Claussen home and heard the girl's screams.
Hohmann fled and later was arrested by Detective Sergeant Eugene O'Gorman.
When arraigned in district court today, Hohmann was bound over to municipal court. The most serious charge possible, burglary, was placed against him.
