Now that the election is over, such bubbles as Duff Green, who have been raised to the surface only by the violence of the storm, will sink to their proper level. We copy the following notice of him from the "Truth Teller"—a Jackson paper printed in the city of New York:
"The insolence and malevolence of this man know no bounds. In addition to his former ridiculous conduct toward us, we find ourselves alluded to in the Telegraph of November the 4th—and we understand that we have been shamefully abused in a previous number of that paper. We shall for the present defer noticing his sapiency until after the Presidential election when we shall, perhaps, deem it proper to resume the subject, without subjecting ourselves to the imputation of open predilection for either of the candidates."
A correspondent has sent us the paper of the 4th, above alluded to, Duff Green not having the gentility to transmit it to us himself, but, assassin like, preferring to stab us in the dark.
