POSTMASTER
LIST SELECTED
Temporary Appointment Made
by P. O. Dept.

William McMahon of this city, has received the appointment as acting postmaster, succeeding E. E. McCoy, deceased. The appointment was made by the postmaster general and came through Monday. Pending a permanent appointment and confirmation by the senate Mr. McMahon will act as acting postmaster. He has accepted the office with the understanding that he will receive the permanent appointment and his many friends in this city hope that such will be the case. Mr. McMahon is a successful business man and the Herald joins others in the belief that he will be a good postmaster.
