TWICE AS MUCH TRAFFIC DELAY
Problems Would Be Doubled Under Reading Plan.
Albert T. Bell says:
"It is quite evident from printed map showing that the Reading Railroad Company proposed that cross-town traffic originating south of Pacific avenue - from which section much cross-town traffic does originate - must cross Pacific avenue and Atlantic avenue and Arctic avenue and Baltic avenue traffic over its detour in order to reach the Reading depot. This will mean four principal arteries of traffic to be negotiated,
"At the present time this traffic crosses only Pacific and Atlantic avenues. There will be twice as much traffic delay as there now is.
Our traffic problems so far as traffic to and from the Reading railroad is concerned will be doubled by the carrying out of this proposed plan."
