Gilbert Warfield, a Louisville boy who was seen in Paducah recently with the Marguerite Sylva Opera Co, as the innkeeper in "The Strollers,"
has been convicted at Milwaukee for the theft of $2,700 from Miss Sylva's treasurer, Mr. Nirdlinger, and given two years in the house of correction.

He was familiarly known as "Gib" Warfield, and was employed by the Louisville Water company for a time, but left Louisville about seven years ago. He is the son of Henry W. Warfield, for many years gatekeeper, at the Louisville Water company reservoir.

Warfield joined "The Strollers" at the beginning of last season.
