Address Given by Editor of Parent-Teachers' Magazine
Over 200 parents and others interested in school work attended a joint meeting of the five Willmar Parent-Teachers organizations held in the Junior high assembly in this city last evening. All five city organizations were represented. There were a number of excellent musical numbers rendered by several of the school musical organizations and several interesting piano solos were rendered by Miss Norseng, high school music director. The main address of the evening was given by Mrs. E. G. Quamme of St. Paul, ex-president of the Minnesota Parent-Teacher association, and now editor of the Minnesota Parent-Teacher magazine. Great interest is being shown in the state organization locally and many expressed their intent of joining, the small fee of 15 cents is charged for each membership, this included a year's subscription to the magazine. A delightful lunch was served at the close of the program with ladies from the different associations aiding. They were Mrs. Edw. Elkjer, Mrs. Simon Rodberg, and Mrs. Victor Klingenberg of the Central group; Mrs. Wm. L. Cain, and Mrs. Olaf Burseth of the Junior-Senior high school group; Mrs. Walter Sperry of the Lincoln school association; Mrs. S. B. Chapin and Mrs. L. E. Estes of the Lafayette association, and Mrs. O. E. Hedin and Mrs. A. G. Erickson of the Garfield organization.
