IS APPEALED
ON PRINCIPLE
A fight for a principle which has already cost $90 in a $5 traffic case, today was carried on in an appeal to municipal court.
Found guilty by a jury Dec. 20 of a charge of obstructing an alley with an automobile truck, Lloyd Froemming, 146 Center st., a truck driver for the August Kelner Floral Co., 1354 Humboldt ave., backed by his employer, today asked for a 10-day stay of execution in district court to file an appeal on a $5 fine on the traffic offense.
The truck obstructed traffic in an alley at the Church of Incarnation, Fifteenth st. and Keefe ave., police claim.
The case has already cost the Kelner Co. $90. The organization maintains that if double parking for trucks is allowed downtown during unloading periods, the same principle is applicable in their case.
