At State University
Philip O. Keeney has been reinstated as librarian and professor of library economy at the state university at Missoula by action of the state board of education at its last meeting in Helena.
The state supreme court recently held that Keeney should be reinstated in the position he lost September 1, 1937, because he was not given a hearing before his contract was not renewed.
The question of back pay for Keeney, who drew $3,360 annually, will have to be determined by university heads at a later date, the board said. Some members said his back salary may depend on a deficiency claim presented to the 1941 legislature.
