Full Text

The Nullies in South Carolina are coming out gently against Gen. Jackson-feeling the public pulse, as it were. The Camden Beacon, (heretofore enthusiastic in support of Gen. Jackson-the same paper that flew into an hysterical ecstasy when it discovered that the President's birth-place was in its vicinity)-now speaks quite rationally on the subject-says it does "not believe in the absolute perfection of Gen. Jackson"-which is something strange; and declares that it "does not belong to him ;" which is more than it would have said six months ago. Many of the former supporters of the General, besides the Beacon, are taking off their collars.--The Beacon says "the President ought to be informed that the people placed him in power for more lofty purposes than the punishment of Clay and Adams, and their supporters"-a truth which his opponents have heretofore in vain endeavored to impress upon his mind, and to the importance of which the Beacon itself and its Nulli coadjutors have very recently become awake.
