London, Sept. 5.—We are informed by a gentleman who has just arrived from Paris, that on Friday last, the King's malady having assumed an alarming appearance, a consultation of his Physicians took place. Dr. Dubois was of opinion, that by cupping and scarification, with the exhibition of certain internal remedies, his life might be protracted for some months longer—Dr. Alibert, expressed doubt whether his Majesty's life could, under any medical aid, be protracted beyond a month, and Baron Portal concurred in that opinion. After the consultation, Baron Portal was called into the Royal presence, and his Majesty begged the Baron to be candid with him, and to state what had passed, and more particularly to inform him what was the Baron's own opinion. As the Baron still hesitated, his Majesty reiterated his request with more urgency, observing that he was perfectly resigned to the will of Heaven. Upon this, the Baron disclosed the particulars of the consultation, and expressed his own decided opinion that from the progress of his Majesty's malady, he might prepare himself for the termination of all his sufferings in about three weeks. His Majesty is said to have received the melancholy intimation with great fortitude, observing that he was completely prepared for the awful change.
