By County Agent Warden.
Farmers living in areas that were hailed in 1932 and those in extreme short crop areas will be considered for loans according to information recently received by E. A. Draper, local seed loan inspector. The change will be welcomed by many farmers in Roosevelt County who for the above reasons were unable to make any settlement on the previous loans.
The recent change does not apply, says Mr. Draper, to those who have wilfully neglected to report their crop returns for 1932 and failed to renew their obligations to the government.
If the farmer could have paid his loan either in full or in part in previous years and did not do so, the 1933 loan application may be disapproved, since it is not the desire of the Crop Production office to continue to finance those who have no proper sense of obligation to the government.
Farmers who have made a proper report of their crop in 1932 and who have endeavored to cooperate with the seed loan office in their efforts to finance agricultural activities in a just and equitable way, will not need to worry about securing aid in the future.
Farmers who will need loans this year are urged to make application at once as delays occasioned by mistakes often make it impossible to complete a loan in less than three weeks or a month.
