Full Text
You have heard of the Fate of the Lord Mayor and Aldermen's Remonstrance and Petition to the King, which was such a one as might reasonably be expected. The Court seems determined to pursue its old System of Politics, and what wonder, when the Opposition is reduced to so paltry a set of Men as Wilkes and his Partizans! Much clamour has been raised against Lord North, for making a Bishop of his Brother, who it seems will not be Thirty Years of Age before the 20th of this Month, and consequently cannot canonically be consecrated. He is appointed to the rich See of Litchfield and Coventry---has kissed Hands upon his Appointment but is not to be consecrated till after the 20th instant.
