Excursion to the Springs.

An excursion party, consisting of about one hundred and fifty persons, from Jefferson City to the famous Sweet Springs, arrived at Sedalia this morning, at nine o'clock, and after shaking hands with a few friends at the depot, the party departed up the Branch in charge of Conductor Beeks.

The excursion was gotten up under the auspices of the Christian Church, of Jefferson City, and managed by Dr. Shannon, State Superintendent of Public Schools, and is a grand success.

The day opened badly. After arriving at the grounds the sun shone out, drying the grass, and the day will be pleasantly spent.

The excursion train will leave the Springs at six o'clock, arriving at Sedalia about 7:30, where they will make a brief stay and then speed homeward.

The Bazoo trusts that they will have spent a pleasant day, and often hope they may favor the prairie country with their presence.

The Bazoo thanks Dr. Shannon for favor extended.
