Big Jim Talks on Meaning of Bible Revival
Rev. Kramer to Open 3-Week Evangelistic Campaign at Baptist Church Tomorrow.
Rev. "Big Jim" Kramer, orator, teacher and evangelist, will fire the 3-week revival campaign salute at the First Baptist church at 10:45 Sunday morning, when he will preach on "What Is a Bible Revival?" Big Jim was to arrive this afternoon with his wife and family to take up quarters at the Colonial hotel for three weeks.
For the last month the Baptists have been mobilizing their forces, strengthening their lines, and the objective is to be taken as mapped out.
"Big Jim," says Rev. J. C. Oranger, who will introduce the speaker, "is big in every way, physically, socially, mentally and spiritually. He is big in the pulpit, platform, lodge room and banquet chamber. He is gifted with a great imagination and is a genius for stirring word paintings. He stirs the intellect. When you once hear him, you will want to hear him again."
Big Jim has been pastor of some large Baptist congregations in Quincy, Spokane and California. He will speak at 7:30 each evening except Saturday and on Sunday mornings at 10:45 o'clock. Tomorrow evening he will talk on "The Spiritualism in Church."
Rev. Kramer was never a pugilist, but is spoken of as having completely knocked out Bob Fitzsimmons because the latter was converted by Big Jim and preached his first sermon in Dr. Kramer's church.
