BOSTON. August 17.

A Paragraph in a London Print of June 11, Says,

"On Thursday last, John Gardiner, Esq., late of Boston in New-England, was by the Hon. the Benchers of the Inner-Temple, called and admitted to the degree of Barrister or Counsellor at law, though one year short of the usual standing which entitles a person to such degree, and on Monday was sworn in at the bench of the said Society, and yesterday took the oaths at Westminster Hall. We hear he is the first gentleman from Boston that ever attained to that honour."
