Full Text

Piscatory.

It is well worth the time on a sunny day to make a call upon our friend, Mr. Hosford, who resides a short distance from the depot, on the line of the N. H. Central. He located near a brook for the purpose of breeding fish, and he has very ingeniously and tastefully constructed his little ponds of water for pickerel and trout. In the artificial pond nearest the house, are now about twenty pickerel of good size, and can be seen from the house. In the smaller pools above, are trout waiting for a "bite" at a grasshopper.

Mr. Hosford governs or controls this brook, as a man controls his horse--running where and when he directs, &c. has water in reserve for his fish house, flower-bed and garden, as much and as little, and when wanted. Success to him.
