The last French papers contain the following article:-

AUGSBURG, Sept. 17.

The noted Countess of Sternbach, who was brought here in custody from Munich, fought in the ranks of the insurgents against the Bavarians. She is the only daughter of a butcher. The Count Von Sternbach fell in love with her noble countenance, and her robust and handsome figure, and gave her his hand. She regales herself in the morning with a glass of schnapps, in the Tyrolese fashion, and occasionally smokes her pipe of tobacco. She was taken prisoner in an action with the Bavarian troops in Innthal, & is proceeding under an escort to Strasburgh, with the Tyrolese Clergyman taken at the same time.
