Gets $331,000 Loan

JUNEAU (AP) -- The Rural Electrification Administration has approved a loan of $331,000 to the Matanuska Electrical Assn. for power facilities in the Unalakleet area, the state's congressional delegation said yesterday.

In a wire to the Associated Press, the delegation said the money would be used for installation of a 300 kilowatt diesel generating unit and construction of two miles of distribution lines to serve 43 new customers.

The delegation said the federal loan would also be used for general improvements in service to present consumers.
