CUPID CONFUSES YOUNG BENEDICT

Forgets Name of Girl He Wants to Marry at Marriage License Desk

Hagerstown, Md., Nov. 22. - A remarkable case of lapse of memory happened Adam Earl Snyder, a young man of Greencastle, Pa., who applied at the office of the clerk of the court here yesterday for a marriage license. Snyder completely forgot the name of the girl he was to marry, and afterward did marry, Miss Mary Elizabeth Poper. Snyder had answered all of the questions propounded to him by the clerk until he was asked the name of the bride-elect when his mind suddenly became a blank. Confusion seized the applicant, who rushed out of the court house to an automobile in which the young woman was sitting and blushingly explained his predicament to her. Snyder returned with her name, secured the license and the couple drove away to the home of a minister and were married.
