PLEASING CARNIVAL

The Dykman & Joyce Expo Shows, which were in Alma all last week as a benefit for Troop C 106th Cavalry, Michigan National Guard, proved to be the best and cleanest, as well as the largest carnival that has ever played in this city, which has been a source of satisfaction to the members of the Cavalry unit. Although there were large crowds on the grounds every night, there was not the least disorder at any time during the entire week, the carnival people and the visitors to the grounds conducting themselves in an excellent manner.

The carnival proved a good thing for the troop, netting the organization about $175.00. This was not as large an amount as had been hoped for by the unit as a result of the attraction, but promises to be a big boost in aiding to take off part of the financial load that the troop has been carrying.
