At Santa Monica and Redondo Beach yesterday multitudes of persons of both sexes enjoyed themselves in the breakers. To an Easterner this would sound incredible. It is said to be a fact that the difference between the Summer and Winter temperatures of the ocean at these points seldom amounts to more than five degrees. However that may be, there are a number of residents in Los Angeles who, for the last ten years, have never failed to take a swim at Santa Monica sometime during Christmas week. A mere statement of this fact will prove of great interest to the residents of the cyclone and frost belt.
