Walter Ramirez Graduates From Radio University

SCOTT FIELD, Ill., July 16—Fully prepared to take his place among communications experts in the U. S. Army Air Forces, Pvt. Walter Ramirez, son of Enrique C. Ramirez, 1011 Morley Ave., Nogales, Arizona, has been graduated from this radio university of the AAF, it was announced today by Col. Wolcott P. Hayes, commanding officer.

At commencement exercises Pvt. Ramirez received his diploma from the Director of Training along with scores of other radio operators and mechanics and will soon be assigned to duty with one of the Air Forces' tactical units.

Many former classmates of Pvt. Ramirez are now serving with combat air units in the various theaters of war as communications men with ground and air crews. Scott Field school officials have intensified studies and laboratory work here to supply the necessary men for almost 200,000 aircraft urged by the President for production this year.
